About the role:

AlphaICs is looking for a world-class AI/Deep Learning Software Engineer to design, and implement highly efficient software library to accelerate neural network based deep learning algorithms. In this role, you will work with software architects, system architects and also with hardware engineers to come up with high performance software library in the AI world, collaborate with engineers to implement, and validate them on the hardware accelerator.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
  • Design, develop and optimize Neural Network based software libraries and run time libraries for AlphaICs Edge AI accelerator
  • Performance benchmarking and optimization of Deep Neural Networks and deployment of the same on AlphaICs AI Accelerator
  • Collaborate with engineers, software teams and customers to come out with the best software solution
  • Provide design documentations to software and platform teams
  • Participate in design reviews for software systems

  • Bachelors, Masters or Phd degree in computer science, or related technical, math, or scientific field
  • Strong working knowledge of High-Performance Compute (HPC) algorithms
  • Hands on experience building libraries for DSP / ARM or other processors is a PLUS

In this role, you will work with software architects and system architects to solve the critical problems in the AI world, collaborate with design engineers to implement, and validate them on the advanced processor nodes.

  • Develop innovative hardware and system architectures to extend the state of the art in machine learning performance and efficiency
  • Responsible for chip specifications and roadmaps
  • Derive requirements based on customer requirements from the software systems and current hardware systems specifically in machine learning

  • 10+ years of chip design and architect experience
  • Solid understanding and some hands-on experience of CPU, GPU and DSP architectures and micro-architecture concepts
  • Strong mathematical foundation in machine learning and deep learning
  • You have meaningful industry expertise in SoC architecture definition – Clocks, Resets, Automotive safety, Interconnects, Memory Controller, Boot, Virtualization, Power Management, Security, System Performance, IO technologies, (PCIE, Camera Interfaces, etc), Multimedia accelerator pipelines, CPU/GPU coherency, Platform integration.
  • Solid understanding of digital logic design and implementations, in particular hardware accelerators, processors, ISA development, memory sub-system design etc.

About the role:

As a SoC lead, you will manage the SoC design implementation from architecture to GDSII. This includes technology, IPs, SoC design methodology (RTL, Verification, DFT, and Physical Design), EDA tools and program management.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
  • Lead a team of Silicon implementation team. Plan tasks, hold code and design reviews
  • Help define SoC architecture and design specifications with the larger team and define implementation strategies and tactics to meet aggressive quality and schedule goals
  • Work closely with architecture, verification, physical implementation leads to provide status, and make design decisions throughout the development process
  • Responsible for resource planning and allocation to deliver against plan, including schedule and lead the evaluation of design IPs, work with external and internal IP partners
  • Perform technical evaluations of design IP vendors and process nodes. Provide industry roadmap and recommendations to Product teams
  • Work with package team to understand package requirements and define electrical SI/PI specs and budgets when integrating IP vendor solutions
  • Work closely with Software team to make hardware – Software trade-offs
  • Responsible for chip reference board design and SoC bring-up

You should apply for this role if you have the following qualifications:

  • 15+ years of chip design and verification experience
  • Demonstrated experience in ASIC digital designs that have taped-out and productized
  • Demonstrated expertise leading high performing teams for breakthrough results. Strong leader capable of attracting, motivating and energizing the very best
  • Good understanding of Deep Learning and Machine Learning is a big plus
  • Demonstrated expertise in RTL development and integration methodologies that improve team productivity and design velocity
  • Understanding of complex SoC chip implementation (e.g., digital/physical/circuit design, design verification/integration, EDA tools, power optimization)
  • Understanding of advanced foundry process nodes and its interaction with assembly process and different package technologies
  • Experience solving high-performance chip design challenges across technologies such as embedded processors, networking fabrics, etc
  • Experience performing technical evaluations of design IP vendors, process nodes, foundry CMOS process transistors, high speed analog/mixed-signal IP vendor designs, and/or SRAM memory implementations
  • Experience working with architecture and micro-architecture teams and evaluating custom circuit implementation for PPA optimizations
  • Experience defining electrical SI/PI specs and budgets for IP vendor solutions integrations

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s in Science, Engineering (Electrical/Electronics or related field).
  • 4+ years experience as Project/Program Manager, preferably in Semiconductors industry.
  • Familiar with ASIC Life Cycle, CPU, Embedded Core/Subsystem Solutions (HW/SW).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in SOC/VLSI Chip Design, ASIC Chip Design, ASIC/SOC Technical Program Management.
  • In-depth knowledge of ASIC design flows from concept through tapeout and customer sampling.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for IP/Core Subsystem execution of complex semiconductor devices in terms of schedule, performance, power and cost.
  • Responsible for end to end delivery – from conception, product requirements to silicon validation, physical design and ensuring end to end Solutions.
  • Determine risks, develop mitigation strategies and communication to internal and external key stakeholders.
